The Goshichi truck conversion is pretty neat. It features a lift that is attached to the truck and the door so there is no need to open doors, then operate the lift.
Goshichi is currently modifying the GMC Sierra or Chevrolet Silverado, 1500 or 2500 trucks for wheelchair driving. There are some requirements when purchasing the base truck, such as it must have a back seat in order for the wheelchair lift to fit. Therefore the crew or extended cab must be purchased to make it work.
As with most custom wheelchair accessible truck conversions there are some width and heigh restrictions (28″ wide x 57″ tall) when occupying the wheelchair, however some adjustments might be possible if the base truck is custom ordered from GMC or Ford.
The founder of the company is wheelchair-bound as well due to a spinal cord injury, so he is keenly aware of the needs involved when modifying an accessible truck.
